Lamb is for sale at our farm on Sundays between 1:00-5:00, by appointment during the week, and at the Waxhaw Farmer’s Market on every other Saturday between 10:00-Noon during their winter schedule.
It’s a lot of work for Farmer Bob and me to raise sheep, but this is why we do it: our small flock lamb meat is the best tasting because of how they live in the sunshine and rolling hills of our farm. We process them at a certified humane facility and a USDA inspector ensures they are healthy, and his stamp on the meat is that guarantee to our customers that they are getting a superior product. We are certified meat handlers by the state of South Carolina. Our freezer is restocked with lamb for sale!
Leg of Lamb: $9.99/lb. Weighs in between 4 and 6 pounds. Lean, tender, bone in without the shank, so your roast will fit easily in your cooking vessel. Roast low and slow or hot and dry, take the meat off the bone and marinate to grill like a steak. Lots of great possibilities! Racks: $17.99/lb. Oh my goodness! I wish we could figure out how to make a lamb with more than two racks because these are just the best part of the lamb! Grilled or roasted, rub with olive oil and spices, or spread a crust of breadcrumbs and herbs over….another incredible lamb dinner on the horizon for a special occasion. ***Sold out by pre-orders!*** (We’ll have more in October.) Center Cut Lamb Loin Chops: $16.99/lb. These are thick and well-trimmed of fat, perfectly cut by our certified meat cutters. What an easy supper for entertaining! Just rub with olive oil and your favorite herbs and spices and grill to medium rare over charcoal, gas, or your stove top grill pan. Be prepared for applause from your guests! Lamb Stew Meat: $8.99 Our delicious lamb already trimmed of fat and cut into cubes for you to use to make your favorite stew recipe. It’s so tender that we use it for shish kabobs! Just add a little olive oil and your favorite spices and herbs to the meat, thread onto skewers, and grill to medium rare. One of our favorite treats!
Ground Lamb: $8.99/lb. Our ground lamb is so tender, sweet, and mild that you will love using this in many of your favorite ground beef recipes. Of course, the lamb flavor shines through!
